Awesome! It looks like it was done by hand and in the words of my digital illustration teacher that's when you know you've made it.
Critique: I'm not exactly sure what this means so I'm just ranking it in the middle.
Originality: This isn't the first time I've seen someone do a guy standing on a pile of rocks, but the sticks and the sense of imbalance in the heap really do something for me.
Technique: Like I said awesome keep working on it!
Impact: Overall I can see that this is you just trying something out but I still think it's successful and is something you could really put into your bigger works.
I really like how the values turned out. There's more than enough contrast to give the subject good depth and volume so that it pop right out in front of the viewer, especially from a distance.
The rough shading style adds more excitement to this picture. I like how there is texture.
Composition-wise, everything is placed well in the drawing space.
I don't know if this will work, but you can try adding a very light texture for the white background so that it is not completely white.
Nevertheless, I want you to keep working on this style and see where it takes you, for it does produce results.
This style is really sweet. I think a more filled in shape for the character with a little more attention to their silhouette would make this look very striking.
