I've been watching the "walking with" Documentaries for the last weeks and I just fancied drawing this big guy very quickly.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

This Tyrannosaurs Rex is drawn with excellent detail. It's mouth region is especially done very well. The blue stripes along it's spine helps add originality and helps balance it's primary dark scaly hide. The background could have some more clouds but it helps the viewer really see the T-Rex as a whole. The anatomy of the T-Rex is done with good skill. One does not simply draw the T-Rex with out details. The shading on the whole T-Rex is done well and it shows where the light sources is at as well (top right corner). An overall simple but detailed drawing of a T-Rex with original colours.

Awesome T-Rex. This is one of the best I've seen!

The design and anatomy is well thought-out, and the blue stripes add a lot of originality. Plus, the simple light paintstrokes along the back are as I said: simple. But they work very well and add more detail than they should.
