This one of my school projects. I had to make a character in 3D. So I made this monster like cyclops thing. He does n´t walk all that brilliant at one point. But other than that it worked out pretty well.

@00:25You already mentioned that the walk's not the best at one point- he steps slowly and heavily, but his gait doesn't seem to get affected by it, and the sounds of his feet make his footsteps seem a lot heavier than they are.

I had a bit of an issue with the lighting- once the creature came up to the camera, I could hardly see a thing. The iris of the eye blocking out the camera surrounded by a bit of white would have been pretty cool. All I really saw were grays at that point.

But still, it got the point across, so I guess it worked. :)

@00:25Congrats! From personal experiance I know that 3d animation isn't all that easy. If I was still in the program I would point out "Yeah, there are some points that the foot doesn't truly touch the floor, and the close up is kind of pixelated."

But hey, that was another semester, and I enjoyed it all the same. Good job, pat yourself on the back, and good luck in the future.

It looks great, the textures look really good! Did you make a displace map?

Anyway the one thing that I'm really noticing besides the walk is that when he gets close to the camera, you can see the hard edges of the polygons. I think the normals are a bit messed up.

(Or They call them "smoothing groups" in max, I think. Not sure what program you used to make this. :) )

Zbrush i didn't use any normal maps. But it was the displacementmap that messed up the head part of his body. And i can't find out why.

Yes. The displacement map worked well on the legs, but not on the body.

I have a entire book of z brush and it explains everything and I tried it out alot of times. But still doesn't work some how.

@00:25it runs good as timing, the sound is very good and the character desing ,original.you are right about the walking, there was a sertain moment where the body was in such a position sloping on one side ,that it can fall,but it didn't. keep it up.
